Aryanews- Acetaminophen Codeine is the best-selling medicine in Iran, a senior Iranian health official has declared.

“Acetaminophen Codeine is the best-seller in Iran,” the Mehr news agency quoted the deputy Iranian health minister for food and drug affairs, Dr. Ebrahim Sheibani, as saying on Friday.

“Adult cold and Amoxicillin are the most common antibiotics which are the second and third best-selling medicines in the country,” he added.

Sheibani further pointed out that 97 percent of the medicine consumed is produced in Iran.

“Only three percent of the required medicine is currently imported to the country,” he concluded.
