Aryanews- Wall.St. stocks edged higher on Tuesday, the one-year anniversary of the market lows reached in the recession, helped by gains in industrial shares as optimism about the recovery remained intact.
Airline and transport stocks rose after UAL Corp's <UAUA.O> chief financial officer said its United Airlines was clearly seeing signs of recovery. The stock gained 9 percent to $19.09, while the ARCA Airline index <.XAL> jumped 3.4 percent.
